1. Beijing Foreign Studies University held the "2018 Beijing Spring‧Beijing Foreign Languages University Foreign Language Teaching and Research Program for Taiwan University Students" event from April 1 to April 8, 2018. Students from our school were invited to the school to participate. The content included discussions between teachers and students from both sides of the Taiwan Strait. Meetings, courses and lectures, visits to the Great Wall, the Summer Palace and other historic sites. Please attach the detailed event itinerary: Event Schedule.pdf
2. Registration Qualifications
1. During the event, students must be current Taiwanese students with official student status of the school. Students who are on leave of absence will not be accepted.
2. Priority will be given to participating students who have club experience and those who have not participated in team activities organized by mainland universities.
3. After the application form has been reviewed, the International Office will announce the admission list on its website.
4. Participating students must submit more than three pages of learning experience (including a 1,000-word experience report and photos of the event) within two weeks after returning to Taiwan.
3. Application materials
1. Soochow University activity registration form.doc , please print it in A4 size
2. Proof of enrollment (not a copy of the student ID card)
3 . If you have a passport or Taiwan compatriot ID card, please attach a photocopy (electronic files are acceptable)
4. A copy of Chinese transcripts (including average)
5. Guardian consent form.doc , whether you are over or under 20 years old, be sure to apply Parents fill out the consent form.
4. Activities Fees
1. The travel fee for self-funded projects on April 6 is RMB 500 (free to participate).
2. Accommodation and meals will be paid by the organizer; air tickets, license fees (passport, Taiwan compatriot certificate), insurance premiums and personal expenses, etc., must be borne by the organizer.
5. Precautions
1. Registration for this case will be accepted until 12:00 noon on March 8. Please send written registration materials to the International Office (Room A314, Waishuangxi Campus; Office 2110, Chengzhong Campus). If you have any questions, please contact Wu Yurou, coordinator of the Cross-Strait Affairs Center of the International Office, extension: 5377.
2. All personnel will attend the opening ceremony at 19:00 on April 3. Each school must prepare student performances. Please brainstorm performances that represent Soochow.
3. After this activity is reviewed, the International Office will announce the admission list on the website before March 14.
