Housing

Students may choose to stay either in on-campus dorms or off-campus dorms. The Student Housing Center will provide off-campus housing information. The estimated cost for off-campus housing ranges from NT$8,000 to NT$15,000 per month.
Please note: Dormitory is NOT guaranteed.

Restaurants and Cafes

Student cafeterias and convenience stores can be found on both campuses serving a variety of hearty meals.

 

 

Library

With an advanced functionality and the latest digital technology, the Soochow University Library offers advanced facilities for reading and research. It is based at the Waishuanghsi campus and has a secondary branch at the Downtown Campus.

 

 

Performing Arts Center

Located within the Waishuanghsi Campus, the state-of-the-art, 471-seat Performing Arts Center is used for recitals and concerts and is equipped to high standards, including a 9-foot Hamburg Steinway piano.

 

 

Arts Center

The Arts Center is situated in the Downtown Campus. It includes an art exhibition hall, a coffee shop, and a small theater hall for various types of stage performances.

 

 

Student Clubs

The University now has nearly 180 student clubs and associations, and all contribute to the variety of campus life. They can generally be divided into 6 types: administrative, arts, academic, athletic, social, and social service.

 

 

Arenas and Gyms

Access to all sports equipment, fields, and gyms on campus are free for students during regular operating hours.

 

 

E-Campus

The University provides students with multimedia Internet services and facilities. Wireless access nodes cover conference rooms, classrooms, living areas, and the libraries of both campuses.

 

 

Study and Communication Spaces

Innovative, relaxing, and dispersed within the two campuses, spaces such as the E-Learning Lounge, Language Corners, and Culture Classrooms have been created to support student curiosity and creative learning.
